Modeling of the Integral Frame as a Method of Detecting Translation Difficulties (Exemplified by the Russian and Spanish Rental Contracts)

An integral cognitive model of Spanish and Russian rental contracts’ concept that forms at the stage of pre-translational analisys is presented in this article. The specific features of legal discourse are taken into account in the process of forming an integral frame. With help of modeling such a frame, the similarities and differences of the lexemes that verbalize two concepts are revealed. This process makes it possible to form a categorization and concept basis for understanding the meaning of the source text and to reveal the semantics of the document in the target language. It can help to facilitate the procedure of more competent and complete interpretation. The revealed differences in the verbalization of the concepts represent potential translation difficulties that may be overcomed when referring to both – the constructed cognitive model and additional literature in the source and target languages within the framework of legal discourse.Downloads
