Abstract

The article highlights the art of Russian artists, who became the ancestors of the picturesque school of Kazakhstan: N. Hludov, A. Bortnikov, N. Solov'ev, Yu. Zaitsev, F. Bolkoev, A. Cherkassky, etc. They made an enormous contribution to the development of fine arts in general, where the academic school gradually becomes "impressionistic" quality of painting. In their works you can find scenes of everyday life, reflecting the interest in the habits and pursuits of the Kazakh people. Recreating the artistic patterns of different aspects of life in the steppes, a variety of unique mountain landscapes, the artists depicted the construction of a new world, the industry of socialism, trying to convey the very rhythm and pace of work nationwide. Their work represents a distinctive link between the Russian oriental XVIII-XIX centuries and Kazakh professional painter of the twentieth century. Russian painters’ works are priceless treasures of national cultural heritage of Kazakhstan.
