Abstract

In the course of the researches in the Archivo (del Cabildo) de la Catedral de Granada, a new “relación” (telling), unfortunately incomplete, has been found, this time about Philip Ill’s journey to Portugal and the celebration of Cortes in Lisboa. There he was acclaimed king and his son —very soon Philip IV— recognized crown prince; it is one of the outstanding happenings of the Monarchia Hispanica, not very far from the beginning of its fall.
