Abstract

Local Regulations on everyday life are especially useful for environmental research. Explotation and having a profit from forests and hills, care about social hygiene and regulations for hunting and fishing are analyzed in the following. For doing that, a significant number of Local Regulations published in Extremadura during the Ancien Régime are taken. In all of them it is appreciated a conservacionist aim although in a different sense of present meaning. Also sometimes it appears a contradiction among utilitarianism on taking advantage of spaces, resources and means necessary for social, economical and cultural survival with environmental issues.
