Abstract

This approach to a complex, but nearly unknown reality such as the Granada cathedral chapter's economy gives the broad outline of the discord between idealism and realism about the establishment of the Church in Granada. If the reasons of state and the royal triumphalism tried to get a local church with a peculiar greatness and symbolism, the economic disposable incomes imposed the pattern of a medium-size church and a very austere cathedral chapter during the early modem period.
