Abstract

This paper studies the adaptation to main economic and social state reforms in Aragon during the third quarter of the eighteenth century. Political conflicts between public institutions and social groups pressures modified initial state orientations and stressed existing problems. Finally, weakness and public power incapacity to solve contradictions taking place at the end of the “Old Regime” favoured its final crisis and the emergence of liberal revolutions.
