Abstract

The main historiographical stream on fiscal systems points out the role of the men who intermediate between the taxpayer and the Royal Treasury: tax collectors, tax farmers, treasurers, etc. This article propose a prosopograpichal study of these men in the Kingdom of Granada based in the information supplied by archival sources, mainly the the notarial records of the city of Granada.
