Abstract

Patronate appear in the Spanish possessions in America. To mark the restoration of the town council of the Dominican cathedral, new canons are appointed and a salary is assigned to them. After a reform and a decrease, their archbishop brings a lawsuit with the government of Madrid in order to make sure that what has been established is respected.
