Abstract

The present paper is a continuation of the first part of this study, published in an earlier issue. Here we will explore the way in which Breton's position led him to go beyond the analysis of works of art and to attempt to produce a mythical revaluation of the reality of the object which Breton himself tries to describe. This reinterpretation in tum involves a break with the principie of originalism which had been established as a starting point for modero art, and comes into contact with sorne aspects of the analysis of prehistory which Benjamín was carrying out at the same time.
