Abstract

From classical Greece to the present day, fashion has been
reflected in various aspects of daily life and dolls have reflected aesthetic
models that in recent decades have triggered a real furor almost everywhere
in the world through barbie dolls. This article analyzes how this toy and
its local substitutes have conditioned the imaginary of children in Greece,
especially girls.
