Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to review and analyze the different foundations, backgrounds, approaches and methods of social intervention from a socio-educational perspective, and, at the same time, to define a generic methodological proposal for action, both at the level of groups (PEG) and individually (PEI), which can be applied in different social contexts. The methodology used to carry out this work is based on the PRISMA method oriented to the systemic documentary analysis of the information, which allows to identify the relevant literature to subsequently be presented analyzed and written.

The results reflect the enormous disparity of criteria, approaches and models that exist in the processes of social intervention, as well as experiential or ideological perspectives, which base the needs to erect strategies and models that can be homologated and adaptable to the different social contexts, as well as the use of evidence-based methods, without losing sight of the complexity and social dynamism. Likewise, it is evident that the instruments applied and the proposals for models of socio-educational intervention are aimed at improving the conditions and quality of life of individuals and groups, which will have an impact, among others, on the processes of integration, coexistence, participation and social promotion, with the participants being the subjects of transformation themselves.
