Abstract

The development of a communicative competence in a complete way in students of any language and, in this case, of Spanish happens to consider the cultural competence as part of itself. The method of dealing with culture in the classroom was called into question in several times. The communicative methodology, which centres the active role of education in the student has always tried to provide the students with all components of language in a real way. Nevertheless, the method of teaching culture in the classroom to students with a different culture sets up questions about if it results effective and if it creates discomforts in them. An investigation has been carried out in different countries to check what kind of feelings students and speakers of Spanish with a different original culture experiment when culture is taught. The language of Cervantes or Frida Kahlo is consolidated as one of the most studied languages; and it is necessary to investigate about how the motivation about studying Spanish culture that many students experiment affect them in a positive or negative way.
