Some Proposals to Rehabilitate the Use of Biography in the Didactics of Language and Literature

Abstract
In this paper we reflect on the usefulness of biography for language and literature class from the consideration of its psychological foundations, in order to promote its habitual introduction in the classroom and not only as a literary subgenre. Also, taking into account the curriculum in basic formal education in Spain, some activities are proposed with biographies and some guidelines are given that help an adequate selection of this type of texts.
