Abstract
This paper analyses the process of the insertio-n and labor evolution of one particular group in Chile, the Jewish collectivity of Valparaíso-Viña del Mar, considering its cultural and social capital and noting its strategies to adapt to the possibilities provided by the receiving society in light of public policies and the general frame of mind.
