Abstract

This paper endeavours to present a brief excerpt of a poetess, not widely known, Yokeved Bat Miriam, a figure within current israeli modernism. The two poems are dedicated to Tel Aviv, the model city of Israeli enterprise. In the first poem the poetess refers to the city directly; in the second, by means of a skillfull symbolic technique, she praises the city trough its personification in Hana Robina, mythical figure of hebrew theater, and true embodiment of Tel Aviv.
