Abstract

The Tosefta is generally considered as a complement or companion to the Mishnah, so it must be supposed as a halakic text. But the tractate Sota is quite different from the others tractates. It is more like a hagadic text, so we can find many coincidences with the Midash. The use of the Bible is very frequent. In this paper I analyze a few examples where the Bible is not only employed for splendid recreations of biblical episodies or characters, which concedes authority to the text.
