Abstract

This article is a study of the characteristics –phonology, morphology, syntax and lexic- of an Aramaic text of Genesis Rabbah 17,3. A comparation of this Aramaic text with the tagumic texts of the Cairo Genizah and with the text of Onqelos and Jonathan Targums reveals very interesting features of this Aramaic dialect (Jewish Palestinian Aramaic, Sokoloff or Galilean Aramaic, Kutscher).
