The famous Dreyfus affair had enormous repercussions not only in the Sephardic communities of the Diaspora but also in the Jewish world in general and, particularly, in France. The significance of the controversy was felt as far as Spain, and even, recently, in the cinema. This anti-Semitic trial instigated several public opinion campaigns, ardent controversies, and political tensions. In short, we could say that it was the most evident demonstration of anti-Semitism in France. The unfair sentence of Captain Dreyfus was disseminated throughout Sephardic literature in the form of periodicals, novels, and plays. Our fundamental intention in this work is to examine a series of articles which describe the trials to which Dreyfus was unfairly subjected due to his Jewish condition, as well as offering a study that lets us comprehend and value them properly in their specific contexts.
