Abstract

In the «Mosque of the Snakes» of Aleppo (Syria), an ancient synagogue converted into Islamic oratory during the Middle Ages, an exceptional Judeo-Arabic inscription is preserved. This paper presents the transcription and translation of this text, along with a brief background.
