Abstract

After the Napoleonic experience in Egypt, M. A. tock power in this nation in 1808. The aim of this paper is to Study in detail the economic policies of Muḥammad ˁAli in the agricultural, industrial areas as well as his self-suffi-ciency economy and political autonomy with the creation of a modern anny, following the french model.
