Abstract

Islam was born at a time when the two greatest powers of the Late Antiquity, the Byzantine Empire and the Sasanian Persia were dominating. The Middle East is a religious swarm and the appearance of a new faith causes multiple reactions, essentially of rejection, due to the imminent end of the world and the Parusia.
