In 1953 É. Lévi-Provençal published the reconstruction of Aḥmad al-Rāzī´s lost chronicle. His meticulous survey of Arabic sources concludes that many Arab compilers mention al-Rāzī´s chronicle as al-Ḥimyarī and Abū Muḥammad al-Rušāṭī in their respective works. This paper presents the Spanish version of the entry dedicated to the madīna of Mérida compiled in the Iqtibās; and concludes that it is one of the invaluable sources for the reconstruction of al-Rāzī´s chronicle.
