Abstract
The aim of this research is to classify and to portray the administrative units of the Central American countries applying the cluster analysis technique of K-means. The methodology used is supported by the application of a multiple-variations technique which is based on a series of socioeconomic variables that allows analysis of the existence of territorial disparities and to identify the most disadvantaged zones of the study area. The results obtained through statistical analysis and GIS tools identify 3 blocks of countries, whose localities share similar dynamics and similar socioeconomic characteristics.
