Abstract

The growing importance of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as well as the acquisition of key competences in the Initial Training of Social Science Teachers obliges to reinvent teaching and learning processes. One of the didactic strategies that combines the achievement of contents and capabilities is the interdisciplinarity with ICT. Starting from this perspective, an interdisciplinary classroom intervention is presented, oriented to the Teachers of Primary School students through the work with technology for the acquisition of the curricular knowledges of Geography and Literature that appear in the plans of the Faculty of Education of the University of Alicante. The methodology of the research has been mixed (quantitative and qualitative). As an instrument of analysis, the questionnaire was used as well as the material developed by the students. The results demonstrate the high value of interdisciplinarity for the achievement of content related to the Mediterranean geographical landscape as well as for the acquisition of basic competences such as digital or the ability to search for information autonomously.
