Abstract

The mexican grains profitability collapsed since the opening to international market. Tomake up for the losses, the «ejidatarios» took on some choices, amongst these some changeswithin their cultivation patterns. This article study the substitution of wheat by barley accomplishedbay the «ejidatarios» of Guanajuato who grows in irrigation lands. It is of interest toknow the repercussion of this experience and calculate the chances of success.
