Sobre el origen de los prefijos y el desarrollo de su semántica en la lengua rusa

Resumen

The article is devoted to the popular theories about the origin of prefixes in Indo-European and particularly Slavonic languages. The conceptions presented by authoritative scientists are analysed, the author’s point of view according to the question about the origin of prefixes in the language. The process of verbal prefix meanings’ development is reviewed, the brief characteristic of semantic evolutions of prefixes is given. The examples of prefixal verbs from the Old Russian and Russian language are given. These examples demonstrate the mechanics of the origin of different prefixes’ meanings and illustrate the fact that the verbal prefixes’ polysemy exists. The difficulties in description of prefixion which lead to different approaches are mentioned.
