Abstract

This text is intended to inform the scientific research work, contextualized in the renewal of the political elite of the Spanish monarchy in the late seventeenth century, we offer a reassessment of the social dimensions of this political process. Our study, presented in terms of practices and social relations, will leave the family organization and mainly attend to episodes of change and social mobility determinants for the erection of new individuals and families to the highest magistrates of the government of the monarchy. This objective will be achieved through the analysis of Macanaz, as a paradigm for other similar cases from the local evolution towards greater policy-making spaces over seven hundred.
