Abstract

The purpose of the article is to show that the Tractado del origen de los reyes de Granada was not written by historiographer Fernando de Pulgar in the XVth century but that it was promoted by the Morisco family Granada Venegas in the XVth - XVIIth centuries. The article lays stress on the study of the sources of the work and on its contents so as to emphasize the historiographical project-the book is part of such a project- developed by the Granada Venegas lineage.
