Abstract

We present three memorials on wich several mesures for the restoration of the neighbourhood of the Albaicín (Granada) and the rural enviorments (La Vega) were proposed. These memorials are dated 1574, therefore after the expulsion of the moorish. Pedro Mexía de Quemada, Lorenzo de Carvajal and Hernando de Haro Uribe express from different perspectives the solutions for the recovery of those vital spaces. Houses and lands dation, emphiteutic census, the establisment of service and trade structures, mulberries and vineyards plantations as well as the recovery of the silk work were proposed in order to help the isolation and to remedy the depopulation of the mentioned areas.
