Abstract

As well as the inside Granada’s kingdom nearest to the one of Murcia, as the coast of Malaga and Marbella established appealings markets for castellans, genoeses and french merchants, who coming from Cartagena —and associates with others traders from Malaga, Motril, Huesear or Almeria— execute an intense importation (manufactures) as well an exportation (wool, sugar, oil). A great deal concerning the incentive of this area was concentrated on the tax exemptions, wich lasted up to the middle of the 17th century, and also on the great possibilities of smuggling. The easinesses of social promotion. That is to say the acquisition of councilmen and dominions, made possible that these traders could settle deeply in this area and could promote these relationships.
