Abstract

The article analyzes the diverse economic aspects (mining, farming, industry and trading) of the North Andean Region (Panamá, Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador) during the periods that constituted an administrative union as Viceroship Colonial (in the XVIII century) and as a Colombian Nation (until 1830) enphasizing the difficulties that opposed their integration, without having good Human and Natural resources. Their distinct subregion, with diferenciated economies or parallels, found themselves in a deep crisis during the first decade of the XIX Century that explains their independent leadership role.
