Abstract

Research of the book “Patrocinio de ángeles y combate de demonios” of Fray Francisco de Blasco Lanuza, published in 1652. Through its analyze, we see the escathological vision in the Barrocco’s Spain: angels, devils, and Luzbel’s servants in this world (witchs, magicians). We see so the author’s opinion about some aspects of the society of his time, very relationated with the contents of the devotional literature of XVIIth century.
