The concept of intentional specie in Suárez: its projection in the German Schulphilosophie and in some currents of contemporary philosophy

This essay has as its goal the assessment of several keys of interpretation that the concept of Intentional Specie in Suárez could supply in order to understand some essential transformations which arise in the german Schulphilosophie, as well as in the origins of certain readings in phenomenological bias. It is proposed in this vein the thesis that the transformation of Metaphysics into an specific modern Ontology not only seems tied to the fundamental facts of the emergency of a renewed dimension of possibility and to the reduction of God to a particular region of the entity, among others, in the Metaphysica specialis, but also to a rediscovery of the platonic idea of Specie, which results in a new reflection about the possible ways of relating the sensible and the inteligible elements of knowledge, that could be seen linked to some theoretical positions that represented a moment in the development in the meeting point between Neokantism and Hermeneutics.
