The author briefly explains the epistemological lines and methodological principles of the theory he develops in Principia iuris. Teoria del diritto e della democracia. The author has been working on this subject from the 1960s and in this article he briefly sets out the method adopted, the object or universe of the theoretical discourse and the aims pursued by his theory. This theory is articulated in two parts: the theory of law developed using a axiomatic method and the theory of constitutional democracy, which is an empirical and normative interpretation of the former, both connected by the isomorphic relationship that joins democracy and the constitutional paradigm of the rule of law.
