Spaces and Factors Media in the Zapatista Revolution of Chiapas

The aim of this project is to specify the media value of the zapatista revolution in Chiapas’ indigenous communities, in the process of conquering seated political autonomy on the basis of an assembly democracy as opposed to a formal democracy and representative of the Mexican state. Hence the title of the paper responds the media construction of the zapatista democracy. Sections of the project are: a) the description of the character of the cited revolution emphasizing its media value, b) an explanation of media spaces covering the revolution, c) the causes and factors behind the media success of the revolution, d) media function developed by subcommander Marcos, spokesperson and military leader of the revolution, and e) the strategy of political uncertainty of zapatistismo, in order to marshal as many propagators and partners to their ranks in success of the revolutionary objectives.
