Abstract
In Biblical Hebrew the Nominal Clause very often has the function ofintroducing an explanatory circumstance in the middle of the narrative or the discourse.This paper studies carefully the Mishna Seder M o 'ed in order to verify the way theNominal Clause works in Rabbinic Hebrew in its circumstancial role. As there is nospecific marker for this role, we tackle typical contextua! syntax.
