Abstract
Analyses the decisive role of language in contemporary Arab surrealist literature, focusing on the groups Art et Liberté and Le Désir Libertaire, and determining the extent of the relative weight of French and Arabic in each of these groups, as well as how these languages contributed to the relationship between surrealism and the Arab audience.
