Ver el mundo con la mirada del Otro, ser el Otro tal como él ve el mundo. Una pequeña historia regresiva de la antropología cognitiva

This paper reconsiders in a critica! mood a mainstream of the current anthropology, which, relativizing the gap nature/culture as a universal topic of the human mind, proposes to analyze the once so-called primitive cultures as an unsolvable altemative to an Aristotelian ontology. Now, the author states that instead of a real epistemological break, such a claim, mainly Philippe Descolas one, just continues the pre-cognitivist effort from Lucien Lévy-Bruhl in arder to see the world with Othemess eye, and thus to overcome Western dialectics' cleaving categories and melt oneself within the primitive ontological rules. Lévy-Bruhl's grandeur is to have understood, at the end of his life, the unviability of such a shift -he had even admitted in a certain sense the fail of his work- because he finally thought that it was impossible to link a scientific purpose with the mystical and participative vision that he assigned to the "primitive mind".
