Abstract
Since the outbreak as an autonomous community of Extremadura, the regional planning process has two phases, from the viewpoint of temporal and structural. The first, from 1983 to 2001, is spontaneous, the second starts from the adoption of Law 15/2001 of 14 December (LESOTEX). This Act was recently revised by Law 9 /2010 of 18 October. A quarter century later, without laws or to them, the results are unsatisfactory, given the lack of a planning model that can satisfy the objectives of territorial organization, town-planning, patrimonial, socioeconomic, touristic and environmental of Extremadura.
