Abstract
After a necessary introduction that is made quick and expressive overview of the factors and the geographic context on which substance reflection and action by the regional planning (from which highlights some spatial variables and most unique features that characterize the regional system of government and territorial organization), the text offers a synthetic summary overview and regulatory framework and organizational and institutional arrangement for thespatial planning and development of the territory of Castilla y León within the administrative organization of the Autonomous Community. After that, he stops briefly in the definition and origin of the figures and management tools developed and implemented, differing contexts and scales while making a critical appraisal and reflective.
