Abstract

With the perspective gained three decades of history, we can address a political analysis on spatial planning has been carried out in democratic Andalusia. Fully developed legislatively (LOTA, LOUA, etc.), already among its successes with the regional Spatial Plan (POTA), in 2006. Andalusian urban system as a fundamental pillar of the regional spatial organization has not been left out of the policies implemented or the existing development planning. Even it is laid on him, the greater weight of the territorial model adopted. But it has not always been adequately treated in order of their intrinsic importance and the evolution of the population and activities in an area zoned poorly, often limited to mere accompaniment or partial reactions and delayed. In this article we make a critical reflection on the work and contributions made during the last decades in the field of spatial planning in Andalusia, with the main reference at all times the regional urban system and treatment received by the plans and laws on the subject.
