Territorial problems associated with public use in the biosphere reserve «Parque Atlántico Mar Chiquito», Argentina

Abstract
The expansionist phenomenon driven by the current stage of capitalism has led to a scarcity of new productive territories, and has established a territorial problem where spaces rich in natural resources and biodiversity go to be seen as large areas of reserve for the world. Biosphere reserves are today more than in the past challenged compatible public use and conservation for avoid becoming colonized territories and refunctionalized by economic interests. Using an approach that combines bibliographic surveys with field work this work was proposed to analyse the case of the biosphere reserve of Mar Chiquita characterizing the use of space and identifying the main territorial problems. The results reflect the existence of a territorial problems associated with deficiencies in the management of public use, and social conflicts arising from disputes by the use of the space and the use of resources.
