Abstract
The wine industry in Castilla y León is characterized by the production of quality wines covered in some of the existing appellations of origin. Among the most representative regions, Rueda stands out, the first territory to approve its regulations in 1980. Since then, changes in this area have been numerous and intense, inducing socio-economic transformations, but also cultural and landscape changes in an important part of the municipalities that make it up, consolidating Rueda as a quality producing area, with its own characteristics that differentiate it from the rest of producing regions, keeping elements of the traditional industry that coexist with the new ones that have appeared.
