Abstract
The Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) is one of the most important EU policies and it is being transformed constantly since its initial configuration until the current reform (2014-2020). The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of this reform and to emphasise the principal vectors of the reform process, defining the key objectives that are intended to obtain with it and the main instruments and mechanisms used to achieve those challenges. It also provides its application in Spain, indicating the degree of agreement between instruments and objectives
