Abstract
Professor Buenaventura Delgado Bujalance developed along his life an extensive and creative activity as a geographer. As a tribute and recognition, we emphasize in this article the conviction of the value of travelling as a source of knowledge, based on surprise, nerve and empathy. Likewise, the value of his travelogue as an instrument of comprehension and transmission of the acquired knowledge and as learning and evaluating tool.
Firstly the text presents the conceptual basis on which Buenaventura supports his activity, then analyzes his field notebooks and finishes by presenting some of the results of the didactic proposal through the journey we had shared with him in the last few years.
