Abstract

During the last thirty years (1970-2000), the geographic studies have had a considerable development in the Andalusian Universities. From only two departments during the forties to eleven in last century, a total amout of 132 Doctors since 1970 and about 150 Teachers and more than 7.500 pupils in the year 2000. At the same time, we have a large range of bibliography with about 407 books and catalogues published between 1945 and the year 2000, eleven scientific magazines edited only in Andalusia and nearly thirty specialised meetings organised by institutions from the Andalucian Autonomic Community.
