Abstract

Starting from the analysis of the immigration of women and the radical change of trends occurring in Spain, we focus our study on moroccan, colombian and ecuadorian women. The selection of these three communities comes from the statistical reference from which results their particular and great incidence amongst all the immigrants in Spain and in Andalusia. This research takes place from the observation of distinctives elements in the study of fertility and from the scientific requirement to observe some of the elements that characterize it and that have not been extensively investigated so far. The development of this field survey that took place in Granada, has been fundamental for the description of these elements. The purpose of this work is to analyze the tendency of these women to procreate, through the study of reproductive behaviours, immigration history, working possibilities and the stages of economic, social and cultural integration. The accurate analysis of the fertility of these women has been made possible thanks to a questionnaire that has been planned to collect informations over their living conditions and the contribution they may bring to the host country.
