Abstract

In order to understand the present landscaping configuration of the Costa del Sol it isnecessary to go back at the end of century XIX, when the agricultural colony of San PedroAlcántara was created. With her it arose a modern agrarian landscape characterized within the framework to show an extraordinary diversity of land uses of an organization who supposedimportant transformations related to the technical and productive order. Nevertheless, the irruptionof the tourist activity from years 50 of the last century mainly supposed a decisive changein the traditional, tie forms of life to the agrarian sector, and therefore, in the colonial agrariantransformation of the landscape. In this work we will try to recover the historical memory of theterritory through the study of the landscape. For it we will analyze the main characteristics ofthe process of diversification of the agrarian landscape of the colony of San Pedro Alcántarathrough a histórical interpretation that includes from half-full of century XIX to half-full of theXX. The study of the average physicist, next to the analysis of the different models fromproductive organization that have worked in the Colony through the cadastral planes, will givethe key us of the last arrangement of this space and of the constitution of their characteristiclandscapes.
