Abstract

By studying the Spanish film Blancanieves aims verify the relevance of textual analysis that takes into account the epistemological functions of language, and more specifically the ideological and poetic. Thus, the difficult balance that keeps the film from its need to adapt, on the one hand, the dominant postmodern ideology is checked and, secondly, to represent his attraction Hispanic symbolic universe (Catholic, flamenco and bullfighting) which in turn comes to terms with one’s own traditional tale, universal poetic appearing in the longing father and hero, there where the feminine and masculine may become articulate.
