Abstract

Through the textual comparative analysis of two reference texts in the pseudo-documentary film and a pseudo-travel literature, Las Hurdes. Land Without Bread and Campos de Níjar, I wonder if these are more dominated by social criticism and ideology than by aesthetic experience. Are they texts that create a universal historical memory or rather is the aesthetic experience of the Real of their respective authors? I therefore propose a reading in which I will try to show how both texts contact the Real from its imaginary re-construction.
